Holiday Cheer!

As the year winds down & the holidays ramp up, Tapastry & Studio 12 will feature another "jam" packed week of music.  First, as always will be this week's Studio 12 Wednesday Open Mic, holiday special... come to play a holiday tune or two (or not... no pressure, kids).
 Thursday night brings the Tapastry debut of new kid on the block Elle.  Elle (pronounced Ellie) is back home in NJ after wowing audiences up & down the east coast with her versatile and captivating piano & vocals.

Friday night brings the weekly return of Romeria Flamenca for two shows at 7:30 & 9:15.... reservations a must!


















Saturday night, Christmas Eve,  Carl Croce will help us celebrate the season with holiday songs and originals, tho' rumor has it that he may have to cut out early to make some deliveries.... ho! ho! ho!

McNally Rally

Saturday night features The McNally Rally, a new band featuring warm vocal blends and acoustic/electric instruments, will debut this weekend playing covers ranging from the '70s to the present.
Bob McNally, luthier, musician and inventor (creator of the Martin Backpacker Guitar and the McNally Strumstick), heads up this unique acoustic/electric ensemble comprised of himself on guitar, bass, strumstick and vocals; Jim O'Brien on guitar and vocals; Lara Noble on keyboard and vocals; Michael Allan Williams on harmonica and lead vocals; and Meg Beattie on lead vocals and guitar.

Music at Tapastry & Studio 12 This Week

What a line-up!  Eight performances in six days!  The week starts Wednesday at 8:00 with Studio 12 Open Mic

Thursday night, 7:30 pm, back up in Studio 12 we have the Bogie Latin All-Star Band featuring Will Vega, Papo Gonzalez, Hector Davila, Nelson Diaz & the inimitable Gene (Coco Sec) Phipps.


Friday night at 7:30 & 9:00 marks the return of Romeria Flamenca featuring Willa Bronce.  This high energy, passionate performance is not to be missed!



Also on Friday, upstairs at Studio 12, we'll have the second annual Guitars In The Round will feature Ian Smit, Doug Gill, Harvey Valdes and Rich Maloof doing all sorts of inadvisable things to guitars of various shapes and sizes. Doors open at 7:30.

Saturday night, Tapastry Restaurant features the Latin beat of Compás featuring lead vocalist Adrienne Riofrio. Compás features Adrienne (vocals, violin & guitar), her cousin Dario Scholis (vocals & guitar), John Acevedo (vocals & percussion), Erik Feder (percussion) and Juan Pablo Cano(bass).

Their repertoire of Latin songs includes Bombo, Cuban Son, Cumbia, Ecuadorian Folk, Colombian Folk, Merengue, Bachata, Boleros, Cha-cha-cha and more.

The weather promises to be perfect this weekend, just in time for the Church Street Indian Summer Music Fest this Saturday night.  Hosted by the inimitable Meg Beattie Patrick, who will perform and be joined by special guest artists throughout the evening.




Sunday Night will mark our third annual John Lennon Tribute in honor of John's birthday.  There are a few open slots left....please get back to me if you wanna to play.

The Summer That Was

What a sleigh ride the past four months have been!  We were hanging around minding our own business on anticipated day off on Tuesday 5/24, when the call came in that the the Honest Dog was in the process of sneaking off.  Cheryl, Gonzalo and I met that afternoon & planned the opening of our new restaurant in two days.  Wedenesday morning, in the shower, Cheryl came up with the name Tapastry.

(we told everyone that the opening was Friday the 27, but planned & pulled off our quiet opening on Thursday).  Finnegan announced to the crowd that everyone was going to play for free this summer.
